Theatre, comedy, Christmas music and family shows make up the bulk of the Christmas programme at Palma’s Teatre Principal, presented this morning by the Vice President of the Consell de Mallorca and Councillor for Culture and Heritage, Antònia Roca, along with the director of the public theatre, Miquel Martorell. The presentation ceremony was attended by representatives of the various shows that will be performed at the Teatre Principal, including Sergio Baos, among others.
The Christmas programme will kick off with the Concert de Nadal dels Cors, which will take place on 11th and 12th December. The four choirs – Petitons, Infantil, Juvenil and Titular – will perform this concert in two performances. It should be noted that the proceeds from both days will go entirely to the victims of the hurricane in Valencia.

Teatre Principal presents a Christmas programme for the whole family
On Sunday 15th December will be La comèdia dels dijous, a play by Pere Riera starring the Mallorcan actress Llum Barrera. La paella dels dijous is a humorous reflection on love relationships in maturity and second chances.
The little ones have an appointment on the 27th, 28th and 29th of December in the Sala Petita, where Vai Via, by the company Xirriquiteula Teatre, will be performed. This family show pays tribute to all the women who prioritised the care of their loved ones over their achievements.
With the new year comes one of the highlights of the 2024/2025 season: Molière’s El malalt imaginari. This classic of universal literature is brought to us by playwright and director Sergio Baos, who has reinterpreted it in a modern-day key where negationism and pseudo-science replace the doctors who abused their patients to make a profit. El malalt imaginary will open on 3 January and can also be seen on 4, 10 and 11 January.
It should be noted that spectators attending the Concert de Nadal dels Cors and the show Vai Via will have two hours of free parking thanks to an agreement between the Consell de Mallorca and Palma City Hall, in the car parks of Plaza Major, Via Roma and Antoni Maura. To take advantage of this offer, attendees need only present their parking ticket to the theatre staff, who will provide them with a discount voucher.
