‘We believe that this increase in applications has been due to the good functioning of the service point that we set up a few months ago in the Department of Social Welfare, since users have personalised attention to consult the available benefits and process them, as well as thanks to the direct contact of coordination and attention with the town councils that have requested it and, of course, it has been very important the collaboration of the pensioners‘ clubs that have transmitted the information of this call among their members and acquaintances’ explains the councillor of Social Welfare, Carmen Reynés. ‘In the 2025 budget we have planned to increase this item with a total of 300,000 euros,’ adds Reynés.
