The IBJOVE expects that the basic project for the comprehensive reform of the hostel of La Victòria will be ready in the coming weeks.

The Board of Directors of the IBJOVE met in extraordinary session to evaluate the current projects of the Balearic Youth Institute. Among the items approved was authorisation to spend more than 150,000 euros to set up a booking platform for the IBJOVE’s recreational facilities (the La Victòria hostel and camp in Alcúdia, and the Formentera summer camp).

The Consell has also been informed of the status of the comprehensive reform project of La Victòria. The comprehensive reform project is currently being drafted (basic and execution project, construction management, health and safety study and the issuance of the final certificate), which is expected to be completed in the coming weeks.

Finally, among other points, it was reported that six qualified young people have been hired through the SOIB programme, who will be in charge of promoting the Carnet Jove, gathering information on the concerns of young people and disseminating environmental information about the natural area of La Victòria, among other services.
