The Office for Children and Adolescents presents a campaign to prevent the use of screens at an early age
The Councillor for Families and Social Affairs, Catalina Cirer, accompanied by the director of the OBIA, María de Mar Pulido, today presented the campaign to prevent screen abuse and early access to pornography, a highly topical issue that can have a negative influence on the development of children and young people, as well as affect their social relationships.
The campaign consists of graphic materials that will be distributed through different channels such as educational centres, youth leisure and sports centres, police, tutors, primary care and the social networks themselves, and will reach both children and their families. It also includes an informative video.
Through a Decalogue, the aim is to convey clear preventive messages such as limiting usage time; access to quality content; joint viewing of content between families and children; balancing activities; modelling behaviour; technology routines; technology-free zones; promoting digital education; monitoring the use of devices and encouraging self-discipline.
