The day began in the morning with an exhibition class given by line dancing instructors. The president of the Consell de Mallorca, Llorenç Galmés, stressed that ‘at the Consell we are constantly listening to the needs and demands of the elderly. This type of conference is a direct response to their demands, offering spaces where they can actively participate and improve their wellbeing. She also added that ‘the great reception of the initiatives aimed at the group shows the enthusiasm they have to continue sharing new experiences’.

After lunch, the attendees enjoyed a carol concert by Marga Pocoví and Biel Tous. For his part, the councillor for the Presidency, Antoni Fuster, valued the importance of these policies, stating that ‘they create opportunities for the elderly to remain active, connected and play a leading role in our society’.

With events like this, the Consell de Mallorca reinforces its commitment to the elderly, working to offer activities that promote their health, participation and quality of life.
