The construction of the new pontoons for the port of Sant Antoni de Portmany gets underway
With a total budget of 879,986 euros (VAT included) and an execution period of six months, the works include the dismantling of the current pontoons in the port, together with all their associated elements, such as supply turrets, water and electricity installations, cleats and ladders, as well as the manufacture of the new modules and their corresponding installation. These will be equipped with modern supply turrets, updated water and electricity networks and all the necessary elements to guarantee their functionality and safety.
The project, awarded by simplified open procedure, responds to the need to modernise the port facilities, guaranteeing both the safety and operability of the port of Sant Antoni, a key infrastructure for the island’s nautical and tourism sector.
This action is part of a broader renovation plan for the port of Sant Antoni and its surroundings, which includes other initiatives such as the project to repair the paving on the Passeig de la Mar, with a budget of more than one million euros. The latter aims to update the paving of the promenade, bringing it into line with the modern aesthetics of the waterfront.
