IMAS finalises a new edition of the SOIB 30 training and employment project Raixa 2023
The duration of the project, which started last March, has been 9 months, in which the didactic part has been combined with actual paid work. This has made it possible to put into practice all the knowledge acquired during the training, at the same time as it has contributed to recovering the agricultural areas of the public estate, to maintaining its gardens in good condition and to facilitate the inclusion of the students in the labour market.
This project, which the IMAS carries out, started in 2017 and has the participation of the SEPE (State Public Employment Service), is financed with funds from the Balearic Islands Employment Service (SOIB) through the Sectorial Conference. Specifically, it includes the relevant training to obtain the certificates of professionalism AGAX0208 Auxiliary activities in agriculture (330 hours) and AGAO0108 Auxiliary activities in nurseries, gardens and garden centres (250 hours). In addition, all the participants have received complementary training in labour insertion and employment techniques.
Promoting the social and occupational integration of people with functional diversity is a priority objective for IMAS. In this sense, since 1991, the insular institution has been carrying out different projects, initiatives and direct actions of employment training, with the aim of enabling the group of people of working research age to have access to stable and qualified jobs.
