The Regional Ministry of Education and Universities has published today in the Official Gazette of the Balearic Islands the Resolution of Minister Antoni Vera, at the proposal of the Director General of Early Childhood, Attention to Diversity and Educational Improvement, Neus Riera, which grants aid worth 350,000 euros for the operating costs and activities of the associations of families of students (AFA) and their federations and confederations for the 2023-2024 academic year.
Regarding aid for student family associations (AFA), the Regional Ministry of Education and Universities has distributed a total of 280,000 euros among 187 organisations from different schools in the Balearic Islands. The amounts awarded to each of the associations range from 90 to 12,300 euros and are intended to cover operating costs and activities carried out between 1 September 2023 and 31 August 2024.

The Conselleria d’Educació i Universitats grants aid worth 350,000 euros to associations and federations of families
About aid to federations and confederations of families, the Directorate General for Early Childhood, Attention to Diversity and Educational Improvement has distributed a total of 70,000 euros. The amounts allocated are: 1,630.45 euros to the Confederación de Asociaciones de Padres y Madres de Alumnos de las Illes Balears (COAPA), 65.14 euros to the Federación Autónoma de Asociaciones de Estudiantes de las Illes Balears (FADAE), 11. 11,046.63 euros to the Federation of Student Family Associations (FAPA) of Eivissa, 54,633.88 euros to the Federation of Student Family Associations (FAPA) of Mallorca and 2,623.90 euros to the Federation of Student Parents’ Associations (FAPMA) of Menorca.
These grants aim to encourage the proper functioning and organisation of associations and federations, as well as to promote activities that improve the participation of families in the education system.
