The Ministry of Foreign Affairs, European Union and Cooperation has issued a statement in which it calls for the protection of the physical integrity and freedom of expression of opposition political leaders in the Latin American country.

In light of the news of the arrest of María Corina Machado, we express our total condemnation and concern. Also for the detention of Rafael Tudares, Carlos Correa Enrique Márquez and the rest of the political prisoners.
