The mayor of Inca, Virgilio Moreno, stresses that ‘little by little, the Museum of Footwear and Industry of Inca has positioned itself as a benchmark and has received numerous awards, which has given it a lot of prestige and a great boost both locally, nationally and internationally’.

Since its reopening at the end of 2018, the Museum of Footwear and Industry of Inca has seen a steady increase in the number of visitors, year after year, reaching over 22,000 during the last year. As for the type of visitor, although a large part of the public continues to be local, many tourists come to Inca and take the opportunity to see the Museum.

Thus, 11% of the people who visited the Museum in 2024 were of Spanish nationality (not counting the public from the Balearic Islands), 3% came from Germany, 2% from France, 1.6% from Great Britain and 3% from other parts of the world. On the other hand, in the last year, 55 visits from educational centres have been organised. In addition, during 2024 the centre has hosted two temporary exhibitions; the last one was inaugurated last December by the artist Albert Pinya.
