Any entity, federation, delegation, Town Council of Menorca and the population in general can propose a Menorcan sportsman or sportswoman deserving of the awards.

The Consell Insular de Menorca has approved the rules and the call for the ‘Esport Menorquí’ Awards 2024, a recognition of the effort and sacrifice that the island administration wants to make for the sportsmen and women who work every day to become better athletes and at the same time better people, as well as to make this type of behaviour worthwhile and set them as an example to the rest of Menorcan society.

The Consell Insular announces the ‘Esport Menorquí Awards 2024

The objectives of these awards are to recognise Menorcan sportsmen and sportswomen for their dedication and involvement in sport; to recognise the best results in national, European and world competitions; and to recognise the sporting careers of sportsmen and sportswomen, people linked to the sporting sphere or entities.

In this way, any entity, federation, delegation, Town Council of Menorca and the population, in general, can propose a Menorcan sportsperson deserving of the Awards, which are divided into two blocks:

Recognition to the sportsmen and/or team who have achieved:
A) Medal in the Spanish Championship.
B) To have been among the top 8 in the European Championship.
C) To have participated in the World Championships or the Olympic Games in Paris.

Special mention to athletes, entities, coaches, and referees for their results and/or work during the year 2024.
A) Recognition of the president of the entity 2024 male and female.
B) Recognition of individual sportsperson 2024 male and female.
C) Recognition of the best team in 2024 male and female.
D) Recognition of school-age sportsmen or sportswomen 2024 male and female.
E) Recognition of school-age team 2024 male and female.
F) Recognition coach 2024 male and female.
G) Recognition of referee/jury 2024 male and female.
H) Recognition of adapted sportsperson 2024 male and female.

Applications must be submitted electronically using the standard form attached or in person in the case of individuals at the headquarters in Maó and at the administrative offices in Ciutadella. The deadline for submitting proposals ends on 20 January 2025.
