Authorized the construction project for the expansion of IES Marc Ferrer of Formentera
The Consell de Govern has approved the construction project to expand the Marc Ferrer Secondary School (IES), located in the municipality of Sant Francesc Xavier, in Formentera.
These works declared of regional interest, have a budget of 1,429,251.26 euros and a completion period of 12 months. The project calls for constructing eight new classrooms, two of which will be specialised workshops designed to improve the technical and practical training of the centre’s students.
The extension will increase the built-up area by 649.83 square metres. The new facilities will be located on the first floor of the east wing of the existing building and will include a vertical communication core, consisting of a protected staircase and a lift, which will connect from the semi-basement floor to the first floor. The layout of the classroom area will follow the design of the existing structure, with a central corridor and classrooms arranged on both sides.
