Mallorca will be present at the next edition of FITUR with a renewed focus on the protection and regeneration of the territory, the cornerstone of its tourism management model.
Looking ahead to the 2025 season, the main objective is to continue raising awareness among tourists about the importance of a responsible tourism model. Thanks to the Pledge, the sector has acquired greater awareness, achieving for the first time the collaboration between the public and private sectors in this area.

Mallorca presents itself at FITUR 2025 as a benchmark in responsible and accessible tourism
The island’s delegation will be represented by the President of the Consell de Mallorca, Llorenç Galmés, accompanied by the Councillor for Tourism, Marcial Rodríguez, and the island’s Director of Tourism for Demand and Hospitality, Susanna Sciacovelli. Through the different actions and the agenda designed for FITUR, the entire team will highlight everything that the island is doing to continue to be a leader in the international sector, under the slogan of respect and responsibility. The key elements of the activities planned for these days are: the gastronomic, cultural and audiovisual offer, which will be presented through various high-impact events.
Cultural initiatives
The Consell de Mallorca will also present some of its most outstanding cultural initiatives at FITUR next week. Specifically, the island institution and Es Baluard Museu d’Art Contemporani will unveil an innovative project that is being launched this year: Biennal B. It is an initiative that combines art, crafts and design as tools to foster sustainability and promote the island’s rich heritage.
Biennal B includes an International Congress on sustainable territorial development, interdisciplinary artistic projects, such as exhibitions, and actions to improve ecological connectivity in Mallorca. With this initiative, the Consell and Es Baluard seek to position the island as a model of sustainable cultural tourism and foster a creative dialogue on current cultural and environmental challenges.
Accessible sports tourism
At the same time, Mallorca will be promoting two new quality tourism formats that connect physical activity with local heritage and landscape. The Second Vice President of the Consell de Mallorca and Minister of the Department of the Environment, Rural Affairs and Sports, Pedro Bestard, will attend the fair to support the promotion of the Dry Stone Route (GR-221), as well as a model of universal and accessible sports tourism at Fitur for all, to promote new specialised proposals related to physical exercise and knowledge of the Mallorcan landscape and heritage.
Mallorca’s agenda at FITUR 2025
Wednesday 22nd: The Mallorca Tourism team presents the networking event ‘Mallorca in Essence, FITUR edition’, which is expected to be attended by 180 people. This event, aimed at marketers and tour operators, aims to showcase the variety of experiences the island has to offer, with a special emphasis on its culture, gastronomy and art.
Thursday 23rd: Mallorca will present its priority actions for 2025, focused on creating new tourism products and strengthening connections with international trade, as part of its strategy of market diversification and deseasonalisation, key elements for promoting sustainable and responsible development.
Friday 24: Mallorca, as a destination sponsor of FITUR 4All, will actively participate in the inauguration of this initiative, which seeks to promote inclusive and accessible tourism for all travellers. The island is firmly committed to accessibility and inclusion as a fundamental part of its sustainability strategy.
All these actions are complemented by an exhaustive agenda designed to make direct contact with the main agents of the tourism scene linked to the island (companies, entities, media, etc.), both national and international, taking into account the large presence of companies and representatives of the trade that will be in Madrid these days. Mallorca will meet with national companies such as Iberia Express, Vueling and Viajes El Corte Inglés, among others. It will also hold meetings with international companies such as Etihad, Lastminute, SkyUp Airlines Expedia and Aviareps, for example. He will also hold meetings with different types of media, Euronews and The New York Times, FVW, and Touristik Aktuell, among others.
